How do you figure out the square root of an unperfect square?

  You can use sci cal or calculator.

usually we cant figure out the exact answer if the numberis not a perfect square.

but

you can estimate it.

ex.

what is square root of 6?
think of a perfect square number that is very near in the given number

the nearer is 4 right? 4 is a perfect square.


then remember that square root of √4 is 2

then we can estimate that the square root of √6 is more than 2......... something most probably 2.4 ..... if √5 then it should be 2.2 something
